Summary

最上徳内が蝦夷地での調査をもとにまとめた地誌。蝦夷地・千島・樺太の地理、アイヌの風俗・生業・ことば、松前藩の支配や交易を扱う。各地での見聞とともに、蝦夷地の統治をめぐる著者の考えを伝える。
